Introduction
Welcome to the Songroom website, home to a range of professional audio services designed to help you get the best from your music. We've been working within the recording studio industry for more than twenty five years, so we know what it takes to transform a good recording into a great one.

Our studio boasts an extensive range of industry standard audio equipment, professional quality digital processing and a fully calibrated monitoring system offering exceptional sonic characteristics across the board.

Media Preparation
To make everything as hassle free as possible you can upload your files directly from any internet enabled computer, full details are available on the submission guide page linked below. The section also includes information which will help you prepare your music for analysis, mixing and mastering.

Submission Guide

Integrity Analysis
Every file we receive undergoes forensic level analysis to identify problems such as clipping, sibilance and plosives. If you've followed our reference document such artifacts should at a minimum and as such we can apply restorative editing to put things right. We can also apply minor pitch adjustments to melodic tracks when the overall performance is otherwise precise.
Creating The Mix
From a technical perspective mixing is all about level balancing, frequency separation and signal processing but we believe that musicality is equally as important. We always take the time to listen to your music before we create the mix and we actively encourage collaborative creative input.

Project Mastering
Getting a project ready for release requires an experienced engineer and an array of specialised studio equipment. Thankfully we've got it covered, so your mastered tracks will exhibit the key attributes you'd expect from a commercial release.

Media Distribution
We like to help our clients prepare their music for distribution, so in addition to a stereo master you'll receive a portable versions of your songs complete with ID3 information encoding. We can also supply print ready 'zero error' DDP disc images for physical media duplication.
